In our ongoing effort to improve your service, we've consolidated our billing process to help you simplify your life. With our consolidated billing, you receive one statement that covers all of your monthly services from Western Iowa Networks. That's right...ONE bill with ONE check at ONE time. Whether you prefer to pay electronically, by mail or by stopping in, your bill will be accurate, timely and easy to understand.

How to Pay Your Bill

Your bill will be sent on the last working day of each month. For example, the bill for the month of April will be mailed on the last working day of March. Payment is due upon receipt. A bill is considered past due after the 10th of the month. You would receive a disconnect notice if your account would ever become delinquent.
A convenient return envelope is included with your bill. Should this envelope become lost or damaged, mail your payment to our main office, PO Box 190, Breda, IA 51436. Please write your telephone number on your check or money order and enclose the return portion of your bill. Sending cash through the mail is never a good idea.

Deposit Boxes

For your convenience, you can drop off your bill payment at our deposit boxes loated in Breda, Carroll, Lidderdale and Westside.

WIN Auto Pay

If you'd rather not write checks or have to make trips to our office because you might be late in paying, choose WIN Auto Pay. It automatically withdraws the amount of your bill from your checking or savings account. You still receive a bill in the mail every month; the only difference is that it has "Bank Deduct-Do Not Pay" printed on the summary page. Residential Service
  1. Make sure your desired service location lies within one of the designated coverage areas for Western Iowa Networks telephone service.
  2. Call WIN at 888-508-2946 for instructions and submit the required information to request service: name, address, billing address, SSN, call back number or email address.
  3. Discuss available options:
    • published or non-published service
    • 900#, 3rd party and/or collect call block
    • long distance service
    • a PIC freeze - safeguarding your long distance from being switched without your approval
    • to use a letter of credit, in place of your initial $50 deposit
    • wire maintenance and/or advanced calling features
  4. Receive your phone number(s) and initial payment due from customer service.
  5. Mail or deliver your initial payment with your deposit or letter of credit.
  6. After initial payment is received, service is connected within 1-6 business days depending on the community in which service is requested.
Business Telephone Service
  1. Make sure the business for which you would like telephone service lies within one of the designated coverage areas.
  2. Call WIN at 888-508-2946 for instrucations and submit the required information: business name, address, billing address, SSN or Tax ID#, call back number or email address.
  3. Discuss available options:
    • directory listing in Western Iowa Networks' directories
    • a 900#, 3rd party and or/collect call block
    • an 800 number
    • long distance service
    • a PIC freeze - safeguarding your long distance from being switched without your approval
    • multiple lines and key systems
    • letter of credit in place of deposit
    • wire maintenance and advanced calling features
  4. Receive your phone number(s) and initial payment due from customer service.
  5. Mail or deliver your initial payment with your deposit or letter of credit.
  6. Service is connected within 1-6 business days depending on the community in which service is requested.
Long Distance Telephone Service Back to Order Forms
  1. Long Distance service is available everywhere, so anyone can sign up.
  2. Fill out this form.
  3. Submit the form anytime 24/7 and you will receive a reply from our customer service team stating that your form has been received.
  4. Local WIN telephone subscribers proceed to step 6, all others proceed to step 5.
  5. New Long Distance customers who are not WIN local telephone subscribers must call their local telephone provider to do what is called a 'PIC code change.' Review this document and follow the instructions to complete this process.
  6. Consider a 'PIC Freeze' to keep your long distance from being changed without your authorization by other long distance companies.
  7. Allow 2-3 days for processing and call back to verify that your long distance provider has been switched.
Advanced Calling Features 
  1. View our Calling Features page to determine which features/packages you would like.
  2. Complete the proper form, residential or business.
  3. You will receive a confirmation from customer service that your order has been received.
  4. Your calling features will be activated within 1-2 business days after you receive the confirmation.
Lifeline/Link-Up Assistance
  1. Review all information thoroughly on the Lifeline/Link-Up page.
  2. Print-off, complete and sign the application.
  3. Bring or mail your completed application into one of Western Iowa Networks' retail offices to apply.
  4. Review your next month's telephone bill to verfiy that credit is received.
  5. Call Western Iowa Networks if there are any other questions about this service.
Wire MaintenanceBack to Order Forms
  1. Wire maintenance can be added at any time to your telephone service by calling and requesting the service. Once activated, you need not worry if an outage is due to a fault inside or outside, if it is our end or yours.
  2. An additional per month charge will be added to your bill. Normally, a $20 trip charge and labor charges of up to $30/hr may apply to fix wiring faults within your house or business. You will not be charged these fees if you have Wire Maintenance.
  3. Wire Maintenance saves you time and money by allowing you to call us when anything goes wrong with your telephone wiring, without having to double check your own internal wiring first.
Toll Free Custom Number
  1. You do not have to have long distance service through Western Iowa Networks to have a Toll Free number. You may want to look into WIN Long Distance if you would like to receive these services on the same bill.
  2. Complete the 800 Number Form to begin. If you have an existing 800 number and want to transfer it, print and sign the LOA form. Call Customer Service before mailing.
  3. New customers can expect 1-2 day connection. Transfer customers should allow up to two weeks depending on the current 800 number carrier.
  4. Toll Free numbers include the following prefixes: 800, 888, 877, 866 and any other 8xx numbers that have been used recently, as true 800 numbers become more difficut to secure. All numbers that Western Iowa Networks assigns for this service will retain the same toll-free properties as any other 800 number.
Disconnect or Change Location of your existing W.I.N. Telephone ServiceBack to Order Forms
  1. You can cancel or change location for your existing telephone service at anytime. Some location changes may require an additional charge depending on location. Allow 1-6 days for processing after calling and submitting changes.
  2. If you are moving to another location within the WIN service area, you may request a simple change of service.
  3. You will need to cancel your service if you are moving out of the area or will no longer require WIN telephone service.
